The Red Maids Society - Membership

Life membership costs £80, and can be paid in two instalments. There is a discount for new members who are over sixty, and also for girls who have just left school if they join before Founder's Day.

Membership gives you the chance to trace old friends, whether overseas or in the UK, keep up to date with developments at the school, and buy gifts from our range of books, pictures, cards, scarves and other items. It also includes two newsletters each year.

The Society is run by a small Committee, who meet in Bristol several times a year. These members organize the events and the newsletters, and also continue the Society's tradition of benevolent work, keeping in touch with older members, or those who have been ill, by visits, cards and flowers. If you know of anyone who would appreciate some extra contact, please let us know.

We are always glad to have new members on the Committee, so if you live in the Bristol area and can spare some time, please get in touch! In particular we welcome girls who have left school in the last 10 or 15 years.

We are currently looking for someone to join us with a view to taking on the role of Vice Chair in 2012. Please contact the Secretary for more details.
