The Society was founded in 1906 as The Red Maids' Old Girls' Society, and exists to keep former pupils and staff of the Red Maids' School, Bristol, in touch with each other and to share news of the School and of other old girls around the world. We currently have over 1020 members, a third of whom are in the Bristol area.

In 2006 we celebrated our 100th birthday with a special AGM and a Centenary lunch in June at KingsWeston House.

As part of the 2009-10 celebrations of the 375th birthday of the school, we hosted two very successful all day events for different generations of 'Old Girls'. To see photographs of these events, please look at the Reunions pages.

Our newsletters, events programme, benevolent work and the popular year reunions all help to keep us in touch with members. We are very proud of the excellent education that we received at the oldest girls' school in England, and proud too that the school continues to combine tradition and heritage with excellent modern teaching.

If you are a former Red Maid, but not yet a member, why not join us!
